Futuro Alcalde is the pseudonym used by Fernando Sanmartín, a solo artist raised in Santiago de Compostela. His first album was released in March 2022 and, since then, he keeps focusing on electronic sounds mixed with garage and indie. His lyrics are direct and concise; they talk about love, friends and nights in disreputable clubs, always with an honest and simple tone.In March 2023, he released his first album, “Bailando en Paraíso”, an EP made up of five songs that give a glimpse of the singer's more challenging approach. 2024 begins with a collaboration with Galician Army and Grande Amore, and he is currently preparing to release his next singles.His style is characterised by mixing punk rhythms with drum machines, although the electric guitar is an unquestionable instrument in his songs; the result is a sound with a lot of attitude and presence. Their songs are full of rage with attractive melodies and lyrics that are easy to empathise with. Their influences include La Élite, The Hives and Sleafords Mods, among others.Futuro Alcalde has a minimalist format, full of energy and pure show.
