Mosquera Celtic Band

MOSQUERA CELTIC BAND is a band specialized in folk/celtic/pop led by the piper from Toledo with Galician origins Fernando Mosquera. Created in 2010, and after only eight months, he signed his first record contract and recorded his first album “Peregrinatio” (2012), with an abundance of Galician rhythms and published in 2012.

After creating his own production company, Mosquera published his second album, “Outlander” (2015), which would later be chosen as Best European Folk Album by the Italian Radiophonic Society in 2016. In this album, oriented towards Irish music, are featured 12 international artists.

In 2020, they release their most recent work, “Terra”, turning towards American sounds. Throughout the album, Mosquera investigates the development of the early American folk, bluegrass or hillbilly, from Irish and Scottish Celtic music. To achieve this sound, he has relied on 14 international artists.

The cool style of the Celtic Band is based on Mosquera’s own compositions, both instrumental and lyrical songs in Spanish, Galician, English or Gàidhlig (Scottish Gaelic). His intention is to open Celtic music to all types of public, creating a very particular, own and independent vision.

Fernando Mosquera currently plays more than 60 different instruments. He is an author, composer, musician, performer and certified music producer. Since the second album, he maintains a close collaborative relationship with Álvaro Mata, a renowned music producer with five Grammy Awards.
