A crossover between recited medieval verses recited over a hip-hop background, loads of flow and counterculture hints.Wherever the avant-garde and the Atlantic tradition merge, LaMontagne & PicoAmperio will always be the meeting point, they are able to build bridges between ancient music and literature, bringing them back to present through futuristic and technological sounds.Always engaged with the Galician-Portuguese tradition of the cantigas de amigo, their electric imaginary destroys temporary and stylistic borders and opens new paths in this multiform project through hip-hop, the abstraction of ambient music, folklore, soft melodies, scratchy atmospheres and introducing the world music. The eternal loop of the Atlantic sound.Recontextualizing lirycs of Rosalía de Castro, Luz Fandiño, Xela Arias, Fernando Pessoa or García Lorca; of the troubadours Martín Códax, Airas Nunes de Santiago and Alfonso X; or even with their own creations, the voice of Laura LaMontagne and the loops of PicoAmperio make the audience teleport to a hybrid, unique, hypnotic and, above all, absolutely magnetic universe.In 2022, after releasing their two official videos called ‘Baharemonos nas Ondas’ and ‘Porque no Mundo’, they will be publishing their first album, “Algo Que Sinalar”, which they will be perfoming live both in festivals and venues during the rest of 2022 and 2023.
