EL BÚHØ was born in 2015 by Héctor Martínez and Xosé Lueiro, followed later by Rubén Abel, establishing the creative nucleus: Héctor took over the compositions, Lu the lyric-writing and Rúben the guitar arrangements. EL BÚHØ is pop-rock of indie influences and small ounces of rock and electronica music following the line of bands and artists such as Jeff Buckley, Kodaline, Coldplay, John Mayer, Radiohead or MUSE. With lyrics in Spanish, intimate and poetic, their music has great rhythmic alternation between deep ballads and both soft-and-acoustic and abrupt-and-powerful pop.In 2018, Héctor and Rubén travel together to Los Angeles seeking new in order to nourish the band’s own sound under the direction of producer Juan de Dios Martín (Amaral, Xoel López, Barón Rojo). Along with musicians Aaron Sterling and Sean Hurley (John Mayer, Taylor Swift, Alicia Keys, Miley Cyrus), they produce several songs that would be later mastered by Felipe Tichauer (Christina Aguilera, Luis Fonsi). After quiet time working behind the scenes, several acoustic concerts during those years and several changes in the electric set-up, Bruno Couceiro on drums and Ale Cambón on bass join the band at the end of 2018, making up EL BÚHØ that you will know on stage: Hector Martínez (voice, piano), Rubén Abel (guitars), Bruno Couceiro (drums, arragements) and Ale Cambón (electric bass).
