Merlo Máxico was born in Cambados in 2022 with the aim of giving an outlet to the musical concerns of the locals David Castro, famous instrumentalist in Dani Cornes, and Daniel Vázquez (sound technician, producer).In the summer of 2023, while revisiting their trunk of ideas, they decided to release "Vermello e azul". This distorted single with a garage touch could be found in any dusty vinyl at your aunt Montse’s; canned voices, dancing guitars and surfing synthesizers make up this track that revisits sounds of the past but with a renewed soul.Drawing on influences that range from psychedelia, garage rock and even crank wave, Merlo Máxico is influenced by bands such as Viva Belgrado, Fontaines DC, King Gizzard and even Ben Howard's delays.
