In his extensive musical career as a bagpiper, Anxo Lorenzo collaborated with great artists and first-class folk bands like Kathryn Tickell, Carlos Núñez, Lúnasa, The Chieftains, Fred Morrison, Michael McGoldrick, Alisdair Fraser, Celtas Cortos... and with his band or trio he played in some of the most important festivals in the Celtic world like Celtic Connections, Lorient, Ortigueira, Intercéltico do Morrazo, Pardiñas or Piping Live, always getting good reviews from both the audience and the folk and traditionals artists.

His fourth album, "Vortex (2018) refers to" a transition from an acoustic musical world to one more electronic". Recorded between Galicia, Ireland and Scotland, the piper is accompanied by Jarlath Henderson, Germán Diaz or Eoghan Neff. “Vortex” follows the acoustic path heard on his latest works, "Tirán" (2009) and "Confuxon" (2014).

In "Vortex", we listen to new compositions and surprising arrangements where Anxo returns to squeeze the possibilities of the Galician bagpipe and whistles with his peculiar style, always looking for new sounds, rhythms and combinations along with the fantastic Irish violinist Eoghan Neff. Moreover, he will include some outstanding collaborations in his new shows, a powerful live show full of magical and unique musical moments accompanied by his band: Xosé Liz (bouzuki), Roi Adrio (percussion), Jorge Juncal (keyboards, bass) and the Irish violinist Eoghan Neff.
