Tiruleque

TIRULEQUE performs with instruments that are closely linked to traditional Galician music, but played in a different and unique way. By reinterpreting tradition in a certain manner, TIRULEQUE believes in musical intuition to arrange traditional melodies and embraces the power of its instruments to go a step further in the use of tonalities and modes.

TIRULEQUE has toured throughout Galicia and Spain, setting high standards with their live performances in well-known festivals such as Festival do Mundo Celta de Ortigueira (twice), Festival Intercéltico do Morrazo, Pardiñas or Beltaine-Avilés Intercélticu. At international level, they have taken part in the 41º and 49º Festival Interceltique Lorient representing Galicia, with great public and critical acclaim in the latter. Furthermore, they have shared the stage with prestigious artists such as Milladoiro, Xosé Manuel Budiño, Susana Seivane, Uxía, Treixadura, Tanxugueiras or Kepa Junkera.

In 2009, 2013 and 2018 Tiruleque released their three albums, “Tiruleque", "Mu!!" and "Outro que tal baila”, all produced by the band itself.

In 2022, they celebrated the 20th anniversary of the band with the release of a new album, consisting of a careful selection of their best songs, and a concert tour with the same name, "Tiruleque, 20 Anos no Camiño".
