Orlando Dees

Orlando Díaz is a singer-songwriter from Galicia. After living and working in Bavaria, playing the drums with different bands, Orlando moved to Berlin for two years to develop his own music before coming back to Madrid.

In 2016, he recorded his first EP, “Los Monstruos del Lago”, in Berlin as he started to spread his music in different locations of the German capital. On July, 2017, he released his second work “Karlova”, an EP containing three songs with instrumentation.

His musical identity starts with a single flamenco guitar and aerial and soft voices, occasionally accompanied by synthesizers. Tomasito García (multi-instrumentalist) meets Orlando at the end of the year and, not long after that, Carlos Pérez joined the band on guitar, hitting the stages together on 2018.

In April 2019 they are releasing an EP together, "Abierto Toda la Noche" including a b-side song that did not make the record for the Orlando Dees first solo album.

For the first time in a long while, Orlando would give a solo concert in, Barcelona, at the beginning of November 2019, saying goodbye to the 20th Century.

Uncertain and difficult times on a personal level are followed by a livestream concert from Seattle in the middle of the lockdown and many protest against police killing unarmed black men in 2020. The release of a two-song EP called "Origami" would happen that summer, when he comes back home from the USA.
