Lonely Coaster

The origins of Lonely Coaster go back to 2008, when they were an acoustic duo consisting of Frank (guitar) and Mephi (vocals), playing at several venues in A Coruña. Ito (bass) and Marcos (drums) join in 2010 and their sound becomes more electronic than acoustic, highlighting their own lyrics.

After three years touring and composing their own tracks, 2013 is a year of changes. Manu, the new bass player, adds a new sound and the band gets a new name, Lonely Coaster. In April, they start recording their first work, “Coasting Through Life” (2014), at the Estudios Bonham (A Coruña), with the helping hand of Jose Manuel “Bonham” Martínez. Consisting of 10 miscellaneus tracks, the LP oozes guitar tunes with a strong, 90’s American sound. In the summer of 2014, the band wins the “Cultivando Música” demo contest, organized by the production company ZIRCOZINE and Fundación PAIDEIA Galiza. The prize consisted of playing at Festival de la Luz along with bands such as Spin Doctors, Fuel Fandango or Quique González.

In 2015 and 2016, Loney Coaster shares stage with renowned groups such as Sun God Replica (Mel, AUS), Money For Rope (Mel, AUS) o The Meanies (Mel, AUS), the band also collaborates with other artists, José Luis Ducid for instance, and they participate in festivals like DemonteSound.

In May 2017, Lonely Coaster releases their second album, “Drop the Bomb!” (2017), recorded and mixed at Estudios Bonham.
