Mega Purple Sex Toy Kit was formed in 2003 from the ashes of several Galician groups influenced by sixties music. Emilio Prieto (drums), Marcos Santomé (bass), Uxío Solla (guitar), Fernando Vilaboy (Hammond) and Alfonso Espiño (vocals) immediately revolutionized the mod and psychedelic panorama statewide with its overwhelming live performance, its impressive image and its energetic and straightforward songs, inspired by the beginnings of Deep Purple, Pink Floyd or Balck Sabbath.They started touring Galicia and Spain, going to the most unique festivals of the sixties movement, such as the Wet Dream (Valladolid, 2004), Euroyeyé (Gijón, 2005, sharing stage with The Yardbirds), Shake & Vibrate (Orense, 2005) or Purple Weekend (León, 2005, sharing stage with The Zombies).In the Holy Week of 2006 they performed at the Le Beat Bespoke festival in London, along with The Horrors, The Remains and The Lyres, among others. Upon returning to Spain, and at the height of his career, the band split up. The following year, the first of the group's meetings took place, which, since then, with Ramón Saleta on the drums, turns these meetings into occasional events.
