BEN RICHARDS JR is the personal and anonymous project of a man from Ourense, pioneer of the new generations of Galician punk rap since 1995.

This work was born in 2010 with a cheaply-produced demo, a surprising trap, a real farce creating a fictitious and unreal character who begins to build sounds armed with an MK2 and a microphone. This veteran Galician punk rapper spices up his recipes with electronic drums, drum machines with the smell of the 80s, futuristic bass and synthesizers mixed with famous phrases from mythical films, launching messages that lash like a whip on consciences.

Neobufon, minstrel or genius, a mixture of urban music, rap, electronic, breakbeat, rock or punk can be heard in his records. His committed and polemic lyrics stand out, speaking of the universal with which anyone could identify: love, heartbreak, hate, loneliness, anger; overflowing with irony, bordering on parody, with robotic voices, intense delays and strange effects.

Six demos and five albums endorse his career: "True Love" (2017), "Infinite Love Stories" (2018), "Letters to Juliet" (2019), "La cabeza de un pez" (2020), "Los gatos no son leones" (2021) and the recently released, "El lado bueno" (2022), which comes loaded with point-blank shots at the infamous chest of western capitalism. Currently no one knows his true identity; he has no active social networks, he does not do promotions. It is a daring proposal, iconic of the absurd, a mockery of our society and the current music scene.
