MR. RIVER

MR. RIVER comes from the fusion of different musical styles; jazz, rock, blues, flamenco, funk, traditional Galician music and influences from artists and bands such as Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Andy Timmons, Scott Henderson, Pat Metheny, Chick Corea, John Scofield, Larry Carlton, Jaco Pastorius, Marcus Miller , Victor Wooten or Dave Weckl ... thus creating a variety of original works based on the experiences and feelings of the main composer, resulting in its own style, baptized as "River style": American sound made in Galicia.

The band was created in Pontevedra at the end of 2017 and it is made up by Miguel del Río, songwriter and guitarist, Santi MarSan on the electric bass and Manuel Bastón Lamas on the drums; a new drummer, Marcos Corbacho, joined the band in April 2018

MR. RIVER has already released two singles and a official video, "Mr. River ", title of its first EP, and" Macleod (The Druid) ", and has just released his third single and video clip," Octopussy in the Galician Style".

After its launch at the Bazaar room (Pontevedra), MR. RIVER is part of the poster of some music festivals lineup, such as the Armenteira Jazz Festival, Ponteareas Jazz Festival, and plays “local” at Salason (Cangas do Morrazo), La Iguana Club (Vigo), Sala Moon (Santiago de Compostela) or the Forum Celticum (A Coruña).
