PANTANO was born in Pontevedra at the end of the summer of 2016 when Guly Leiva recruited Edu Sánchez and Charlie Swamp with the idea of rehearsin and offloading those ideas that had been around for a while. With this line-up they give their first concerts until, at the beginning of 2018, they welcome Poncho Carat, one of the greatest "guitar heroes" of our time. In July of that same year they released their first album, "Live at Litium", a live EP with four tracks recorded and mixed by Rafa Darrosa on Litium Records. This EP serves as a preview of what will be its first full-length. "Beware" is put together in just three days at Hertzcontrol Studios (Seixas, Portugal) with Marco Lima as the recording, mixing and mastering manager. Lima also brings his expertise on the hammond to further supplement two of the nine tracks that make up the album. They have been presenting their songs live since its launch in February 2019, PANTANO spews out a powerful, sharp and misguided garage/punk/rock whose influences range from The Stooges to The Fuzztones through Roky Erickson, Dead Moon, The Scientists, Misfits or Dead Boys. With lyrics that speak of unrepentant losers, irreparable child traumas, serial killers and metaphysics from beyond the grave and some live shows that will haunt you based on good, PANTANO are your new favorite band from now on.
