We formed trajedesaliva in Vigo in 1998. We make music of light and shade and generally address in our albums topics around isolation, failure and trauma being passed across generations, the familiar becoming otherworldly. Our music stems from the use of analogue synthesizers, which are then combined with acoustic instruments and spoken word poetry, taking on a very personal view that trascends the genres of dark ambient, drone, darkwave and industrial music. Our new album, “Bordando el manto terrestre” (Embroidering the Earth's Mantle) (Time Released Sound/Woodford Halse, 2023), recorded together with Maud the Moth, is a musical journey around the figure of Remedios Varo, a painter born in Spain in 1908, who lived in exile in Mexico until her death in 1963.This journey begins with an ocean-like motion; driven by the ruin of war and exile, and follows, in Mexico, with the construction of a new intimate space, flooded with light and wonder. This is a path of fantasy inhabited by captive moons, weavers of the cosmos and human gardens, and one in which to recover lost harmony and place ourselves in the world again.
