Visions of Johanna (name taken from a Bob Dylan song) began as a project by Irishman Paul Clarke and Vigo-born Jorge Lorenzo, two experienced musicians who got together during the summer of 2020 for the simple pleasure of making music and sharing their songs, written over the last few years. After a year of concerts as a duo, in the summer of 2022 they evolved into a group with the addition of Mario Riobó on bass and Jose Calvo on drums.On September 20th, 2022 they release their first album, with the same name, under the label of the Madrid-based record company Entrebotones.Both the songs and sound of Visions of Johanna draw from different influences and move between American tradition and British pop, with bands such as The Jayhawks, The Beatles and Creedence Clearwater Revival as references.
