After a couple of years of a joint project on stage, the band born from the union of Víctor Aneiros' guitar and Paula Martins' voice launches their first album, "Rain" (2023).This first studio album is a journey through blues, soul and rock where songs such as the classic 'Blues Is My Business' by Etta James, or 'I Can't Do That' by the Chicago composer Mike Wheeler were masterfully covered and assembled with other originals, such as 'Rain', the single that also gives its name to the album, or 'Healthy Lifestyle'.For the recording, Martins and Aneiros were joined by Marcos Sánchez on drums, Fran Rey on keyboards and Alejandro Masafret and Víctor Gacio on bass, who was also in charge of the recording and mixing in his studio Bajo Cero; Aneiros himself was in charge of the production. The Martins Aneiros Band is the result of the combination of Paula Martins, former vocalist of the Big Bottom Band, and guitarist Víctor Aneiros, artist with a long career behind him and eight albums under his belt. In 2019, Martins was Aneiros' guest at his performances at the Fisterra Blues Experience and the Discalzos Polo Festival; as a result of these collaborations, they laid the foundations for Martins Aneiros Band. However, the vocalist had already collaborated with the guitarist singing a version of "Unha noite na eira do trigo", a hymn of Galician emigration, in the recording of "Héroe Secreto" (2008).
