“In this century of the dictatorship of the image over the word, which prefers the copy to the original, our ambitions are, rather… modest and cautious.”

Furada, the duo from Crecente, Pontevedra, formed by Adrián Riveiro Rodríguez —guitar and keyboards— and Pablo Gómez Portas —vocals—, present their debut album: Furada —Ferror Records, 2026—.

A poetic and evocative post-punk record, charged with strength and meaning. “We have a clear fixation with the post-punk of Joy Division, with a poetic atmosphere that may come close to The Doors. In terms of stage presence, I would also look to current bands such as The Garden, Crystal Castles, Sleaford Mods or Viagra Boys,” says Adrián.

“In addition to the already mentioned Russian post-punkers, the band of Xosé Manuel Pereiro, Radio Océano, and Coppini’s Golpes Bajos are obviously major pillars for us, but we wanted to give it our own breath. Post-punk is able to adapt to geographies and feelings like no other genre, and that is why we also want to highlight the post-punk being made in Mexico —where Adrián lived— with bands such as Caminatas Nocturnas, Ritmo Cósmico or La Texana,” explains Pablo.

There is also an important connection with poetry and poetic expression. “Alongside our own poetry, we include verses by Lois Pereiro and Xela Arias because of their eternal image of avant-garde spirit, of language and pure, visceral word. Xandra Táboas also collaborates with us —a driving force in Vigo’s Galician social movements, as well as a poet and videographer".
