Trilitrate is an audiovisual project that integrates the sound diversity of an acoustic trio together with the real-time video creation of a multimedia artist. The band subjects each note to a rigorous process of distilling, dissolving and combining its influences, blurring the lines between classical, ethnic, contemporary, free improvisation, jazz or hardcore. A process that sails an ocean where composition and improvisation, sound and visual stimuli meet, generating a new original universe brimming with beauty.Trilitrate was founded by Elena Vázquez (violin), Marcos Padrón (accordion) and Rubén Abad (guitar, voice) in Vigo in 2012. A year later, the video artist Laura Iturralde joined in, and they record their first album, “Faláchesme na Man”; praised by critics and audiences, prompting them into frenzied years of festivals, performances and collaborations.Their exuberant talent and originality concludes with the publication of “Frutal Death”, an LP that overvalues and destroys each and every one of the genres, building a unique line, seasoned by a wild feeling of independence in deep, energetic and personal pieces that work. as a witness to the incredible creativity of the Galician quartet.Currently, after the arrival of Montse Piñeiro (set designer, lightning technician, stop-motion animator, María Casares 2018 for Best Scenography) as a new generator of visual art, they are working on the composition and elaboration of their third album.
