Six months after releasing their first EP, “Akureyri” (nominated for the Galician Music Awards) Sub Rosa are back with a disc which sets out to reset the boundaries between electronic music and indie rock. With new musicians in their line-up they have recorded 9 tracks, composed in barely 4 months and mixed by Tomas Ageitos in A Ponte studios. Old instrumental scenery gives way to music which stands up with no excuses in front of the listener, seriously in the present, drawing always on a single source of inspiration: imagination, metaphors as a kind of insubmissiveness, a voice that resorts to the direct message, denouncing the way that in a world deprived of words any message is a lie. Here we have a disc of evolution, close to its electronic roots ,(Fuck Buttons, TSOWC, Dan Deacon), but opening the way for the directness of noise rock and shoegaze, (TAB, Disco las Plameras!, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Pixies). A discourse searching for a form of expression through sound, but also a disc of tunes, of melodies which are hard to forget, a search for symbiosis between instant consumption and more conscious reflection.

A wall of sound of guitars, layer after layer of synths, voices communicating beyond the music, wild drum machines and toms, distortion, distortion, a climax that never comes and is already here.
