Uxío Mayo

Musician, composer and singer, Uxío Mayo combines the different facets of musical production to create songs full of magic and unity. His subject matter can be intimate, social, conscientious...any kind of human story is susceptable to convert itself in the source of inspiration and end up on the setlist. With a technique that is both clean and natural, Uxío Mayo's music reunites gentle accoustic songs (with which he tours Galicia all year round) and authentic rock singles that make you dance, make you feel identified, or make you want to headbang (Rock discs and gigs with the band: Uxío Mayo y La Banda Fetichista).

His first disc "Diario de un fetichista", co-produced with Carlos Arcay, is proof that in today's world music can be produced in the most humble settings with simple talent and lots of enthusiasm, and become a piece of timeless rock. This disc was composed and recorded by Uxío Mayo, and then mixed and mastered by Carlos Arcay, all in a normal room with a normal computer. Many producers could not believe it but that is how this first disc was made.

At the moment Uxío Mayo is finishing his second rock disc, "Nueva era de plasma" which will be self-released. All done by him, from composition to recording and final masterizing. This disc represents a leap of conscience to the awakening that happens to us all at the end of the old phase in which we were governed by our ego. This ego was the subject (without realizing it) of his first disc.
