Transilvanians

Transilvanians was born in Vigo in 2004.

Septet made up of musicians from various backgrounds with a common passion for rooted black music, the western, science fiction or the horror genre. With their Martian funk, refreshing rocksteady, groovy soul, horror reggae, dub or Jamaican R&B, they travel almost the entire state geography and other European countries such as Belgium, France, Germany, Holland or Portugal, with one of the highest octane inflammatory live shows that you can currently find in the State.

In addition to their own work, multiple recordings and a recent fourth full-length, "Soulful Space" (2020) consisting of 11 new songs, the band often works with other artists as their backing band; they have already accompanied, live or in the studio, legends of Jamaican music such as Roy Ellis (aka Mr. Symarip, with whom they recorded a single in 2012 and a double LP in 2019), Winston Francis, Yvonne Harrison or Roy Panton.
