Los Fabulosos Weekend is a new musical project consisting of veteran musicians the Compostela scene such as Chema Ríos (Linces Pop, Extrema Urgencia), Alfonso Espiño (Contrastes, Los Chavales, Mega Purple Sex Toy Kit, Espiño), Gonzalo Sende (Contrastes, Amordiscos) and the popular actor and singer Manuel Manquiña (Sporting de Transilvania).Their musical repertoire consists of covers of rock classics such as “Happy Together” (The Turtles), “Mony Mony” (Tommy James & The Shondells) or “Summer In The City” (The Lovin' Spoonfool) and songs written by Manquiña (“Yo qué puedo hacer”).Vocal arrangements are the group’s main strength, sometimes they even consider a four-voice poliphony, besides their powerful live shows.
