My name is Xoana and, at 20, I am immersed in a musical project that has the Galician language as its primary ally, promoting the use of it with the help of rhythms such as pop, rock, jazz, funky and even reggae. “Dardos” (2019) is the album with which I have just broken into the record market and I use it as a mean of protest. All songs revolve around current issues that need to be heard and what better way than music to ask for changes. The lyrics have a social message and express complaints titled in the tracks with a single word, like darts, small but precise. On the other hand, “Dardos” is aimed at bringing Galician and Galician music closer to the youth, and at the same time, feeling it as something of their own, similar to what I have experienced.Prejudices and ignorance are the ones that limit a language, and it is well known the suffering that these caused over the years to Galician culture; that's why I try to prove its worth through this album. For the Galician language that breaks down borders and is free of prejudices! Music moves the world and changes are marked.
