From Portonovo (Pontevedra), Germán Prieto built a solid career as a guitarist in numerous bands, showing his talent and versatility in the world of rock, pop, indie and blues. However, in 2020, the artist who seemed defined by his instrumental virtuosity takes a bold and exciting turn, reinventing himself as a singer and songwriter, and giving birth to stories born during the pandemic, personal experiences and magical fables that now emerge in his own voice.His first album, ‘Salto al vacío’ (2022, Xonix Records), reflects that transition with songs that combine intensity and sensitivity, fusing genres and styles in a work that feels fresh, authentic and full of life. Germán’s ability to connect with deep emotions and capture experiences in pop, rock, indie and blues songs gave him a modern and rogue character, while at the same time authentic and emotional.In June 2025, Germán Prieto releases his new album, ‘Destino’, produced by Manu Rey and also published by Xonix Records. This work promises to consolidate him as a complete artist who continues to explore the limits of his creativity and who reaches his audience with renewed strength.
