Exeria

In times when music made with a computer sets the trends, Exeria is a band of lovers of distortion and great melodies. It is made up of musicians who give free rein to their songs without stylistic corsets. They are committed to working in Galician as a way of expressing themselves.

In 2021, they start working on their songs, mainly composed by Martín Alfaya, and taking the influences that each one of them brought with them. They get into the studio to record “Un novo nome” and “Ata que sexamos reis”, first singles that will be accompanied by their respective videoclip. The gigs continue and the following year they win the Trece Roeis Fest band contest in a live final.

A few months later they were chosen to be part of the “Sesións de Sobremesa”, an acoustic and live format in the NPR Tiny Desk style and composed of two unreleased songs. The forcefulness of the drums is replaced by the subtlety of percussion, acoustic guitars and harmonies. This work leads them to reinterpret their songs in a different format.

Their first work is “Sobre a independencia” (2024), where they alternate experimental or ambient themes with epic choruses. This work is accompanied by videos for the songs ‘A Costa de Frades’ and ‘Neno’. On tour they will give more than 20 concerts all over Galicia. The plan is to continue releasing singles and sharing their songs with the public, alternating acoustic and electric formats, decibels and music.
