Seixo is definitely one of the new projects in Galician music that is going to be talking about in the near future. Framed in the new wave of the local’s scene, Diego Salgado and Bazait stand out with a deep, dark and adult sound with influences ranging from house and trip-hop to UK garage.Syncopated, complex rhythms merge with spacious atmospheres and vocal melodies that are in your ear to stay, and lyrics that speak of human dilemmas, mental health and primitive spirituality in a symbolist style full of convoluted metaphors. In the era of new punk and trad, Seixo comes fully armed with strangely comfortable music and a curious, acidic gaze.The project was born in 2023 from Diego Salgado's and Bazait's necessity of exploring new soundscapes outside of their comfort zones. Coming from minimal house (in Bazait's case) and urban music (talking about Diego Salgado), they decided to give themselves the chance to play in a common field to give life to Seixo's sound, using the composing and production tools they had been acquiring during their nourished musical careers.
