CAXADE

CAXADE is Alfonso Caxade’s new personal project. Indie-folk with a taste of minimalist music and the bucolic and pastoral sounds of old Europe. Elegant music, modest and simple, post-modern surrealism and critical, metaphoric and ironic statements.

Today, CAXADE is a band, but it was formed in the last quarter of 2012 as a transgressor audiovisual project through the publication of the video-creations "Dança dos Moscas", "Gente Pota" and "Sr. Xorda" (with Javier Antelo Seoane, Iria Pinheiro and Tánia Ameneiro), a surrealist universe of powerful people with heads that sound like pots hitting against each other, heads that pull strings to influence us in the menu we have to eat, with the intention of deluding us with illusions and turning us into flies that dance around their favorite food. Basically, they create the utopia they dream about: that we don’t listen to each other and we don’t organize ourselves, because they don’t want to hear either.

Winner of the Opinión Prize, and the Música Xove Competition

Nominated for the Galician Music Prize, the Mestre Mateo and the Independent Music Awards.

Alonso Caxade (voice and accordeon) presents his first recorded work, with Manu Piano (trumpet and carillon), Manu Espinho (saxhorn) and Xosé Tunhas (drums).
