Belém Tajes (Buenos Aires, 1985)Singer, composer and specialist in music therapy, she began playing and singing in traditional groups, also learning from the songs of her grandmothers, locals from Arou, Camariñas. She studied violoncello at the Conservatory of A Coruña and bagpipe at the Conservatory of Carballo.She has just taken part in Vetusta Morla's Cable a Tierra Tour in Barcelona, Bilbao and Madrid, playing with them and El Naán at the Metropolitano Stadium in front of more than 25,000 people. She toured with Luar na Lubre for almost a year and a half, playing live in some of the main theatres in Spain, but also visiting Mexico, France, Belgium, Portugal, Scotland and the United Kingdom. With Luar na Lubre and other artists she recorded the CD-DVD "Ribeira Sacra" (2018).She has also participated in several music groups as a singer and percussionist, such as Xosé Lois Romero and Aliboria, MOURA, with Pesdelán, and in Carmen Rey's Sisters in the House choir, among other projects.She was the musician chosen to represent Galicia in the 'Tosta Cultural Cargo' project on minoritized languages of the North Atlantic. Thanks to this project she wrote her first book, "Cantos do mar de Irlanda".She created the musical project Vudú, awarded with a Martín Códax Prize and an Opinión de Músicas de Raíz Prize. Now she is releasing his first EP in Spanish "Un mapa" (2022), inspired by the land of her birth, Buenos Aires.
