Maryland, band from Vigo that in 2009 is a finalist on the Grupo Revelación Nacional contest (Festival Contempopránea) debuts with "Surprise" (Ernie, 2009), work identified by the American guitar pop that seeks the melody from the first moment, produced by Jaime García Soriano (Sexy Sadie) and mixed by Toni Toledo (Sexy Sadie) in Urban Producciones (Palma de Mallorca).A couple of years later, Maryland delivers "Get Cold Feet" (Ernie, 2011), a follow-up composed of eleven songs produced, again, by García Soriano, aided by Iago Lorenzo. The band begins a tour that will last two years, being part of the line-up of numerous festivals, Primavera Sound included. In 2012 they released the single on vinyl 7" "Something to Share "(Ernie, 2012) with two unpublished cuts, a new music video and a new tour throughout the national territory, followed by "Los Años Muertos "(Ernie, 2013), recorded by Santi García in Estudios Ultramarinos (Sant Feliu de Guíxols) that revolves around the states of mind and steps that any relationship gives after a breakup (reproaches, anger, despair, self-criticism, regret...) sung in Spanish lyrics that catapult them as one of the promises within the national scene. With more than 250 concerts behind them, Maryland returns with "Resplandor" (Subterfuge, 2018), their most courageous album; ten songs about continuity and the passage of time. They have placed themselves in front of a mirror and they are telling us their reflection.
