DOUS

Two different characters, two dynamic backgrounds, along with their own sound, that get together to create a whole named DOUS.

In 2017 DOUS presents “A viaxe de Yoyo”, their third album released by the Galician record label Nakra in which they follow the same line as their previous works, mixing world music sounds and improvisation to make a repertoire of their own original compositions that go into the search for emotion over technical virtuosity, calling the listener to travel through the senses.

Fernando Abreu (clarinet) and Pablo Carrera (guitar, vocals) begin this project in 2001, when they met during the recording of the first album of Mercedes Peón. Since then, they perform, and record, improvisation sessions that some time later are used as the base of their first album, “sÓ sOn sOns” (Falcatruada, 2008).

Between these two albums, DOUS releases "DOUS" (Nakra, 2012), and create sound spaces in “A paz do crepúsculo” and “García”, directed by Cándido Pazó and collaborate in art therapy workshops around the country on a regular basis as a member of VOArte along with Víctor Orive (Voa) where they go into the therapeutic abilities of music.

DOUS was a three-times finalist at the Premios Martín Códax da Música.
