Susana Martínez studied singing, music theory, dance and participated in several black music bands (blues, jazz, soul, funk) for many years, such as Blue Rain or Reds & Blues. She usually covers songs of these styles and she also writes her own songs in English, Galician and Spanish, performing live throughout Galicia. She collaborated in albums like "Os Tamara, agora é sempre", as well as working as an actress and singer in the musical "O Libro da Selva" playing Bagheera, the panther. She appeared on TVG programs such as “Galicia para el mundo” or “Luar” and was also a finalist in two composition contests (Certame de autor do Landro, 2002 and Certame de Autor de Teo, 2014).Eclectic, she tries to make other styles, tangos, boleros, folk and, a few years ago, decided to launch her solo project recording her own album, "Let's make a change" in 2017."Let's make a change" (PAI Editions, 2017) is a creative project composed of 10 songs, of which 9 are their own compositions and one version, whose style, fundamentally American, blends pop with blues, soul, funk or country.Melodies and dance rhythms with English lyrics that, to a large extent, contain messages of protest that subtly allude to crisis situations experienced in the recent years within the economic, political, social or environmental in the world, but even more so in Spain.She won the Canción do Nadal 2018 contest, organized by the RTVG, with her song “O Sinal". The carol will be broadcast on radio and TV as a tune between ads programmes during Christmas.
