O Val das Mouras is a pop-folk formation with Atlantic roots that bases its musical proposal on the poetic work of Rosalía de Castro. Two years after the publication of their first album, "Rosalía" (Cases de la Música, 2015), which led them to share stage with Cristina Pato, Sés or Luar na Lubre, the band from L'Hospitalet de Llobregat presents "A xustiza pola man" (La Cúpula Music, 2017). Yes, they are Catalonian, but they sing in Galician, since music does not understand borders."A xustiza pola man" is a more eclectic album, deeper and more vindictive than the previous one. A compilation of 10 poems written more than 130 years ago, but which deal with current issues such as social injustice, emigration, abandonment of the land or frustration. With his election, O Val das Mouras intends to pay tribute to all those people who suffer the injustices of the society we live in.At the musical level, they maintain the original formation of voice, guitar, flute, cello and percussion, but they add bagpipes, instruments of Galician origin, accordion and keyboards. Rhythms of jota, muiñeira, pop or ska are mixed in this new album that, nevertheless, maintains the folk essence that has characterized them since the first day.
