Brigan

Brigan was born in august 2009 from the meeting between three young musicians from Campania.

Brigan's first project was dedicated to the irish musician T. O'Carolan and to the traditional irish music,after ,in 2010, with the CD-Project "Ti sfondo i Bodhràn-Tradizione Contaminazione" a new research starts about the analogies between music and traditions of the south Italy area and the music and traditions of the celtic area.

The new repertory blends two musical traditions in an unique and original sound.

The band has joined many important national events as Forum universale delle culture(Napoli),Festival dell'arpa Viggianese, Festival della Zampogna di Scapoli,Ferrara Buskers Festival 2011,Mercantia(2011-2012),Teatro del Sale(Firenze),Teatro Aperto(Verona),Teatro civico(Caserta),rassegna Teatrale

"Pulcinellamente" 2012,Festival "Esoterika" (Roma),Fairylands celtic Festival(Roma),support band of Eugenio Bennato(Teatro Lendi,Caserta) support band Gwendal and different collaborations with irish dances school "Gens d'Ys" located in Rome.

In europe at GallusFest(Swiss),Jamboree Club(London),semifinal at "Festival do mundo celta de Ortigueira"(Galizia),Slovenia,Portugal,Croatia,France and Spain.

In 2013 Brigan won the first edition of "Universo Folk - Concurso Internacional de Folk Ciudad de Oviedo".
