Maltine is an alternative rock duo formed in Santiago de Compostela by Rocío Barrio, vocalist and lyricist, and Pepe Hombre, on guitar and bases.Their music is influenced by blues, punk and alternative rock bands of the 90s and 00s.In April 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, they publish their first EP, "Interior Noite" (2020), with three songs: two written in Galician (‘Non Sei’ and ‘Gárgola’), and one in Spanish (‘Calambre’). Produced, recorded and mixed by Iago Lorenzo (Heredeiros da Crus, Agoraphobia, Igloo), mastered by Robin Schmidt (Placebo, The Black Keys, Wolf Alice), and with drums recorded in José Bruno's Plan B Studio (Sex Museum, Calamaro, Fito). During the quarantine, they also recorded their first music video, released in September 2020.Since then, their songs have been played on state radio stations, such as Radio 3.On december 2021, Maltine releases their second album, "Saliva" (2021).
