Lontras

Lontras is a Vigo-based band formed by Juan Arca (guitar and vocals), Zalo Rodríguez (synthesizers), and Sunil López (piano). Winding through a sonic code with echoes from Chico Buarque to Rodrigo Amarante, from Wilco to Boards of Canada, Lontras' aesthetic imagination resonates like a peculiar genesis in which jazz, indietronica, Iberian song, contemporary classical music, and the most mature alternative pop come together. In their songs, evocative lyrics are layered with sophisticated harmonies and exquisite, detailed productions, creating true soundscapes that stimulate the listeners' imaginations.

Their live performances are characterized by freshness and spontaneity. The guitar and vocals serve as a common thread and foundation for the piano and synthesizer to deploy a whole range of harmonic and timbral resources that give depth to the compositions.
