Susana studied music and singing at Estudio Escola de Música, among other musical and theater courses. After multiple shows, collaborations, competitions, and being a singer in the play The Jungle Book, as the main character and other supporting characters, she has been working on her own solo project for a few years. She makes her debut with “Let’s Make a Change” (2017), recorded at Casa de Tolos, ten songs in English within the blues-funk-soul-pop style. They range from the most conventional love to criticism of the harsh consequences of the capitalist system, xenophobia or respect for the environment, coated in catchy and danceable melodies.Accompanied by great musicians such as Diego Pacheco and Ovidio López (guitars), Segundo Grandío (bass), Paulo Borges and Félix Cebreiro (pianos) and Alicia Grandío (drums), in 2020, she releases her second album, “Universal Love”, within the same American soul-funk-pop genre, but also including our languages with the aim of widening her audience, and styles close to the 80s and 90s. The guiding thread is love in all human forms, hence the title of the album. In “Universal Love” we find a rich selection of rhythms, from the most danceable to the most intimate, passing through half-time rhythms, the folk-pop of 'Sálvame', a duet with Magín Blanco, or more rock and disco beats that carry us over to past decades, like 'Give Up Your Mess'. Winner of the Christmas Song 2019 contest for her original carol 'O sinal', about unity, peace and solidarity.
