Acid Roots

Acid Roots was born in 2025 in Santiago de Compostela as a project that seeks to revitalize the roots of Black music and classic rock from a contemporary perspective. The band stands out for its ability to fuse genres such as rock, blues, soul, R&B, and indie, creating an organic atmosphere. The project currently consists of five musicians: Xiana (vocals), Miguel (guitar), Álex (guitar), Mario (drums), and Jacobo (bass).

At the end of 2025, they released their first single, "The Rope," a prelude to a five-song EP that came out in March 2026, which also included the tracks "True Moon," "Feel," "Flames," and "Shut Up!" The songs were recorded in two different formats (studio and live) in studios in Santiago de Compostela and Béjar. These recordings capture both the band's organic character and the spontaneity and creativity of their live performances.

In this debut album, Acid Roots blends the individual tastes of each musician to create a cocktail of influences that includes bands and artists such as Santana, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Queens of the Stone Age, The Killers, Arctic Monkeys, The Kooks, Black Sabbath, Gary Clark Jr., Ron Gallo, Rory Gallagher, and Berrogüetto.

Acid Roots explores the human condition through insurgency and rebellion. The lyrics delve into themes of loneliness, loss, and social resistance, transforming vulnerability into a weapon and introspection into a form of liberation.
