The “azougue” (quicksilver or mercury in English) brings the glass the power to reflect the reality that receives, as the mirror is not more than an “azougado” glass. Similarly, Lamas and De Miguel, in collaboration with Romero, receive the reality of traditional music, but they reflect it as a free mirror that does not encircle, literally, to the reflected object. The imaginary reflection they work with creates new pieces where the traditional component is only a part of their new reality, a musical world in which the world music comes together with classical music and jazz, a world where the tradition always holds a privileged place.
