Grupo de Música Antiga 1500

1500 is a vocal and instrumental band dedicated to the interpretation of Early Music. Their repertoire ranges from music composed in the mid and in the last centuries of the Middle Ages, to music of the Renaissance and early Baroque, taking as a central reference the year 1500. The components of 1500 have an extensive experience in concerts, as members of bands or collaborating with other national and international groups, and they have performed numerous concerts in Galicia, Spain and in the rest of Europe. In the interpretation and elaboration of the different programs, the group seeks maximum historical and conceptual rigor, and they use a wide range of Medieval and Renaissance instruments. In addition to their concerts, Grupo de Música Antiga 1500 develops other music-related projects, from conception and design to implementation: soundtracks for audiovisual material or theater, concerts, guidelines and educational material for different levels of education, poetry and music recitals and specific themed monographic concerts for different celebrations. From the beginning the group has given numerous concerts: Festival Espazos Sonoros, Festa da Istoria de Rivadabia, Músicas na Compañía, Ciclo de órgano de Xunqueira de Ambía, Easter in Foz, Easter in Ourense, Centenary of San Rosendo in 2006, Fine Art Museum of A Coruña, Músicas da Itinerancia, Música nas Ruínas de Pontevedra, amongst others.
