Luis Emilio Batallán is a Galician artist. Composer, musician and singer, was present in the music from the years 70. The artist from Santiago de Compostela recorded four CDS very recognised and valued in the moment, during his four decades of musical activity.Ahí ven o maio, his first disk, went an authentic success of sales, arriving to the figure of two hundred one thousand copies, turning it the most sold disk of the Galician music. One of the representatives of the New Galician Song, made music for Álvaro Cunqueiro in his poem "No niño novo do vento", remasterizado with the title? "Quen poidera namorala?".During the eighty, Luis Emilio worked carefully and passion in his second disk. In 1990, it edited Ballet da nena, with own letters and of illustrate Galician poets like Uxío Novoneyra, Neira Vilas, Rosalía de Castro, Celso Emilio Ferreiro and Manuel Antonio.Two years after presenting "Ballet da nena", Batallán edited a new elepé titled "Eres un fármaco". After editing three disks in the 20th century, Luis Emilio Batallán surprised to all with his fourth disk: "Your portrait". In this elepé had the collaboration of big musicians and friends like Pablo Milanés and Joaquín Sabina. With his new work, "Había que chegar", Luis Emilio approaches to Latin rhythms, tribal melodies and the purest style jazz. Recorded in United States, Cuba, Switzerland and Spain, this disk recovers toa the essence of Batallán incorporating new sounds and tunings to continue completing his musical path.
