Simon García holds a Bachelor's degree in double-bass and he has played at the Real Filharmonía de Galicia and has collaborated, amongst others, with various orchestras including the Orquesta Nacional de España, Orquesta de Extremadura, Ensemble Nacional de España de Música Contemporánea, Orchesta de RTVE. He is currently the double bass player for the Banda Municipal of A Coruña. He collaborates regularly with different artists in the field of modern music. He has made recordings for national and international labels and he has also participated in the broadcast of concerts on radio and television, as well as in recordings of soundtracks and commercials. As a performer and composer, he participates regularly in different international festivals and conventions. His music is performed both by himself and by other internationally renowned artists in countries such as Spain, Japan, Canada, USA, Mexico, Austria, Italy, Venezuela, UK, Germany, Uruguay, Denmark, Santo Domingo, Netherlands, Switzerland, Korea and the Czech Republic. His compositions have been used as teaching material in very prestigious schools. He currently has an agreement with Music Recital, a British publisher that are going to publish his entire production of music for bass.
