Dario Moreira's personal story begins with a transatlantic voyage from Buenos Aires to the port of Vigo in 1964, when he was still a child in his mother's arms. As an emigrant in Galicia, he grew up receiving the Galician culture from his surroundings and his father's family, and a great nostalgia for Argentina, lived through his mother's emigration, who in turn transmitted her own cosmopolitan culture to him.Researcher of the Galician folklore and its relationship with different music through the emigration, he was one of the founders of the group Na Lúa, with whom he recorded five albums, being awarded with the Premio da Crítica Galega in 1989. He has also collaborated in projects with the singer Uxía and Carlos Núñez.He studied Classical Guitar at the Vigo Conservatory of Music (Galicia), obtaining the highest marks. He continues his career as a composer, under the guidance of Dr. Professor María Rosa Calvo Manzano, with the aim of expanding the repertoire of contemporary music for harp. At the Andrés Segovia International Guitar Festival in Madrid he premiered his work Concerto for Guitar, Cello and String Orchestra Madera Santa, broadcast on Los Conciertos de la 2 at TVE.As a guitarist and composer, he has systematised his technical findings, capturing new languages, timbres and harmonies on the stave, and developing capacity for improvisation.
