Marmota Phil

Established in 2005, Marmota Phil is as a pop-rock indie band influenced by national and international groups and located on the outskirts of Santiago de Compostela (Santa Comba/Negreira/Ames).

In 2008, they record a first rought cut called “At the Stairs” and, in 2011, an LP under the title of “Sigue Buscando”. These two works lead them to perform all around Galicia, to be finalists for serveral music contests: Nordés 2010, Vas Sacar Nota 2011 and Novo Son; and they opened doors to local and state radios and TV. They also recorded an animation video for the song “Sigue Buscando”, which was very well accepted by the public.

In 2016 they publish a new work, “Atrapado en el tiempo” (2016), where they commemorate their 10 anniversary as a band with changes toward different, more careful tunes. This new album gets them the Interritmos 2016 award.
