In 2015, Juan Castro, composer and alma mater of Maldito Murphy, begins to introduce his songs through some clubs in Vigo, his hometown; the project grows as Sebas Yepes (bass) and Philip Yepes (drums) join in.In July 2016, Maldito Murphy gets in touch with the producer Pablo Iglesias, in charge of Radar Estudios, where they record their debut album “No Éramos Tan Ciegos” together with several musicians from the Vigo scene. During the mastering, Maldito Murphy takes a turn; Philip Yepes leaves the group and, at the same time, one of the collaborators, Diego Fernández, becomes part of the band as a lead guitar. With the album already released and before its official launch, the new drummer, Aaron Starsailor also joins in.While absorbed in the launch and promotion of the album, they receive one of the best reviews, written by the journalist and music critic Javier Escorzo and published in the Rock Estatal magazine: “No Éramos Tan Ciegos’ exhibits an exquisite pop-rock pill”. To top it all, on a year full of successes, which has nothing to do with Murphy's law, they receive the award for the best self-released album 2017 at the Los 40 Vigo Maketón Music Awards. At the end of 2018 they republish the album "No Éramos Tan Ciegos" in vinyl format, including four new songs and, in 2019, they embark on a 48-concert tour throughout Spain.Currently, Maldito Murphy are getting what will be their new album ready, which will be released at the end of this 2020.
