Clave de Fado

Clave de Fado is a band of independent music founded in Galicia with the purpose of offering a different vision of the music published in Galician and Portuguese. Based on fado, they achieve an interesting and rich fusion creating their own style.

The soul of Clavo de Fado is Iria Estévez's virtuous voice, who ìnterprets each song with elegance and her own personal style; a sweet voice, with character, that captivates the audience. Along with her, Paco Dicenta (bass): acclaimed musician who has performed with Abe Rábade, Mercedes Peon, Lara Bello, and has recorded with Berrogüeto, Monica de Nut and Aerolineas Federales; Gonzo Piña (Spanish guitar): versatile musician who is a member of various bands in Galicia and Barcelona and who is also a composer for plays of SR. Serrano's Theater Company; and Isaac Garabatos (viola caipira): who studied in Madrid, where he graduated in modern and contemporary harmony, and also in London and in Barcelona. Multifaceted performer and composer, author of music for contemporary dance performances, theater, short-films, as well as for other bands.

Xanelas is Clave de Fado's first album, for which they had a special collaboration with Uxía Senlle, among others. It was recorded thanks to the support of the audience through a campaign of crowdfunding, and in it you can listen to versions in Galician, Portuguese and Spanish of major songs of Galician and Portuguese music such as "Lela", "Fado Lágrima" or "Meu fado meu."
