The new voice in Galician music. Composer and "regueifeira". Performer and lyricist. At just 19 she won the 1st Competition for Songwriters in Galician, organized by Teo town council. As her prize she recorded "Aínda", her first record, edited by aCentral Folque. It was produced by the Cuban double bass player José Manuel Díaz, and arranged by the latter and fellow Cuban Alejandro Vargas. As well as the musicians who accompany her in concert (José Manuel Díaz al on the double bass, Felipe Villar on guitar and Carlos Freire on drums) on the disc also recorded musicians of the stature of Óscar Fernández, Airel Ninas, Pedro Pascual and Gutier Álvarez. Alba Maria's compositions speak of modern day Galicia, her conquests and losses, her generation and those past. With lyrics that illustrate the "Aínda"s (aínda means still, yet). With courage, intelligence and humour. "Aínda" was presented in Culturgal 2014, and has been on the road since then.
