SeKadra

Born in early 2022, SeKadra is a Galician-Brazilian duo based on Vigo (Spain).

Drawing on traditional Galician music and influences from the Scandinavian, jazz, flamenco and Brazilian traditions, its music is an exquisite and powerful fusion of beautiful melodies, complex and catchy rhythms, as well as subtle approaches to electronica.

All these influences live together integrated and framed within an organic interaction supported by the sheer pleasure of playing music together arrives where they met for the first time in 2021 and revealed the possibility of creating a duet in the course of several conversations.

Their short but no less intense career took SeKadra to various stages, halls and theaters in Spain as well as participation in the recently created alternative festival Sons D'Ardora.

They have been playing, recording and/or sharing the stage as fellow musicians for internationally renowned artists such as Dulce Pontes, Archie Lee Hooker (John Lee Hooker's nephew), Abe Rábade, Uxía Senlle, Narf, Ton Risco, Jorge Pardo, Roxane Butterfly, Nikolai Kemeny, Odaiko Percussion Group, Ana Belén, Soledad Giménez, Joan Manuel Serrat, Layne Redmond, Robin Banerjee (Amy Winehouse’s ex-guitarist), Ana Belén and Alceu Valença, among many others.
