Marful

Marful was formed in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, inspired by the music sung and danced in Galician boats. Traditional Music was spreading around seaports worldwide. They use ironic lyrics composed by Ugia Pedreira, the lead of the group. Their music has reminiscent of jazz, European cabaret, club music, vintage ... Accordions, clarinets, guitars, poetry and roots.

With their first album, “Marful”, they rescued the music of/from the 30's and 40's both from Europe and America. With the second, "Manual de Seducción", love is on the agenda with twist, jacks, mambos, tangos and paso doble. And now they are working on their third album.

Ugia Pedreira, Marcos Teira, Pedro Pascual and Pablo Pascual are the best that happened to Galician music in the last decade. They caused a musical revolution with their harmonies, aesthetics and lyrics. They represented Galicia in festivals and music events of all kinds: Womex 2007, Celtic Connections, Feria Internacional del Libro de la Habana, Casa de la Música en Porto. They won the audience award with their first album, they have just presented the second album, recorded in 2010, and they are working in their third work. Marful are Ugia Pedreira (voice), Marcos Teira (guitar), Pedro Pascual (melodeon) and Paul Pascual (clarinets).
