The Galician music group Fiandola was born in the city of Compostela in 1996. They have been working for Galician culture in the field of traditional music for almost 30 years. The musical work developed by this traditional band is based on the music of oral tradition thanks to the field work that its members have been doing for years in villages all over Galicia.Fiandola brings a new harmonic and timbre vision and creates a very particular repertoire with its own stamp with a clear orientation towards the world of dance. In their live performances we can enjoy a wide range of rhythms; from the muiñeira to the mazurca or from the maneo to the rumba. In 1996 they won the Consellería de Familia, Mujer y Juventud award and, in 2013, the award for Best Group or Soloist of Moaña. Finalist in the Premios Opinión de la Música de Raíz 2020 for Best Adaptation and Finalist in the Premios Martín Códax da Música 2021.Fiandola has taken part in most of the major festivals in Galicia, and has also visited the stages of Cantabria and Navarra.
