Marimontaña is a casiotone pop power-duo that emerged in A Coruña in 2009 as a northern answer to Diadermin. They're the authors of ‘Olimpita’, a song famous for its cover by Fagot y Popota and the cover of the cover by Diadermin themselves. But far from being a one-hit-wonder, Marimontaña exhibit throughout its entire catalogue a distinctive style, raw and romantic, that draws as much from the girl groups of the sixties as from escapists of tonality like Richard Strauss.Since 2018 it's a dormant but never extinct project.
